You&#039;re right we place the download details you enter into our Salesforce.com instance (Web-to-Lead), and when you activate the license key we check that against the credentials supplied when it was downloaded. We are using the same system for all our applications. 

Once the program is activated it&#039;s only between the user and the SF-API.
